Companion Animal Medical Project (CAMP) is a homegrown, grassroots 501c3 nonprofit organization in Central Oregon. Established in 2020, CAMP provides free veterinary care - both preventative and urgent - to the unhoused population of Central Oregon.

SUPPORT OUR WORK

Many of those who are experiencing housing and/or financial insecurities often have to choose between providing basic needs for themselves or their companion. CAMP aims to remove barriers to veterinary care to support the human-animal bond and ensure that both the human and the pet have access to basic needs.

The members of CAMP believe that in order to fully advocate for the animal, you must also show that grace and dignity to the person attached to it. Donations allow us to continue to serve our community’s unsheltered pets and people.

We are grateful for another opportunity to participate in The Source Weekly’s Central Oregon Gives campaign!

CAMP proudly serves all of Central Oregon, including the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, alongside partner organizations working to make our community better for all. In fact, many of the groups participating in this year’s COG are organizations we are honored to call partners! From animal welfare to basic needs and family/youth support, we work in solidarity to ensure wrap-around care for both ends of the leash.

CAMP is hoping to raise $10,000 this COG to support our mission of 'providing veterinary care to support pet retention and increase stability for pets and their owners experiencing, or at-risk of, homelessness.'
